As America Heads to the Polls, Candidates Use Parks to Bring People Together

It’s Election Day, time to get out and vote! America is choosing our next President and Congress, and candidates from both parties are using parks and other public lands and waters to highlight American values and strengthen national unity. Earlier this week, Senator Rob Portman (R-OH) tweeted about his visit to Cuyahoga National Park, where he visited junior rangers and showcased the good work being done to bring younger, more diverse populations to Ohio’s public lands and waters. As Election Day plays out, it is important to remember the power that our public lands and waters have to bring us together as a nation and provide opportunities for healthy, active fun for all Americans.
