House Passes Transportation Bill

HOUSE PASSES TEA-LU

On March 10, 2005, the U.S. House of Representatives passed H.R. 3, the Transportation Equity Act: A Legacy for Users (TEA LU), by a vote of 417-9. As passed by the House, the bill authorizes a total of $503 million in funding for the Recreational Trails Program: $53, $70, $80, $90, $100 and $110 million for Fiscal Years 2004-2009. The action now moves to the Senate where the Committee on Environment and Public Works begins its consideration of the bill on March 16th.
